Variant cover tracking
Chase foils, homage palettes, and ratio labels get dedicated cells so two near-identical splash pages stay distinct.
Variant work is where collectors lose hours. Two Marvel NFT comics can share a title and still differ by a metallic overlay, a retailer exclusive stamp, or a 1:20 style label copied from print culture.
We photograph or screenshot each cover you present, then write a short treatment note: color hold, character pose, and any printed ratio. Artist names are copied as they appear, not guessed from memory.
If a cover is only rumored, it stays in a “unconfirmed” column. We refuse to mark a chase as owned until you show the listing screen. That stubbornness is the whole point of the ledger.
This work does not rank which costume is “better.” It only stops your notes from collapsing three costumes into one row.
